Lessons from Israel – 8 DVD Series
In October of 2009, we made a journey to Israel with a very special group of people. The study tour was arranged for Dr. Skip Moen and his group who all were seminary students, biblical scholars in training, Pastors and ministerial friends. At their request, we created a biblical study tour of Israel with the most intensive “teaching itinerary” of any previous tour that I’ve done in the past. Skip, who is the Dean of Students at Masters Seminary, has just completed a magnificent video production of this entire tour onto an 8-DVD set series. Purim - Give to the Needy (Matanot La'evyonim)
They are to observe these as days of feasting and gladness, and for sending delicacies to one another, and giving gifts to the poor. (Esther 9:22)
Concern for the needy is a year-round responsibility; but on Purim it is a special mitzvah to remember the poor. Give charity to at least two, (but preferably more) needy individuals on Purim day, February 28, 2010. The mitzvah is best fulfilled by giving directly to the needy. Update - February - March 2010 - Beit Simchat Vetikvah
Shalom all,
I will be speaking this Shabbat, February 6th (and on March 6th too) at Beit Simchat Vetikvah Messianic Congregation in Rancho Cucamonga. I will be speaking on this week's Torah portion (Yitro - Jethro) at the morning service - and the Haftorah and Brit Chadasha (New Covenant) portion in the afternoon. The regular service starts at 10:30AM - but there is a liturgical service that begins at 9:30AM. We use the facilities of the Sierra Vista Baptist Church - located at 7192 Jasper St.,.Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Please keep us in prayer - and, if you live in the area and can join us - that would be great.

Update - February 2010 - El Salvador and Guatemala
Just a quick note to let you know that we will be going to El Salvador on February 9th - returning from Guatemala on February 28th. While we are there, I will be teaching several Seminars - "The Essentials," "Covenant," and "Parables: Comparing the Parables of Yeshua to Rabbinic Parables of the 2nd Temple Period." And, it is likely that I will also be teaching/speaking on "The Captive Woman: Understanding What the Bible Says About Women" and "Creation: Reconciling Genesis and the 'Big Bang.'"
If you live near San Salvador or Guatemala City and would like to attend one of the Seminars, please get in touch with me via e-mail and I will let you know where these Seminars will be hosted and the date(s) for each one. Creation Seminar - Sonora - January 2-3, 2010
Shalom all,
Just a quick note to remind you of the "Creation - Reconciling Genesis and the Big Bang" Seminar - this weekend, January 2-3 10:00AM-5:00PM both days. We are meeting at the new Tuolumne County Ambulance & Fire Administration Training-room, 18440 Striker Ct., Sonora - off of Tuolumne Rd. The facility is really great - and will afford us the opportunity to use a Power-Point presentation for the first time. Please share this information with anyone who might be interested.
