Topical Studies from the Bible, Torah and the Tanakh (Old Testament)
Teaching from the Bible on various topics with a Jewish perspective.
Discover the Jewish roots of the Bible.
Some topical studies from the New Covenant Scriptures (Brit Chadasha) (New Testament) are also included in this download list.
This page includes topics from the Tanakh, also traditionally labeled as the "Old Testament". Although, the Bible itself does not refer to it as "old" or as the "Old Testament", in fact, Jesus (Yeshua), referred to "the law of Moses" (Torah), the Prophets (Nevi'im) and the Psalms (Ketuvim). The acromyn is TaNaKh. Other places in the New Covenant Scriptures it is referred to as "scripture" or the verse may say "it is written..." or "as it was spoken by...", etc.
The terms "Old Testament" and "New Testament" were terms that were established by the church fathers and were not in the original text. The correct terms are "Old Covenant" and "New Covenant". And these terms refer to actual contracts or agreements that the Lord has with the Jewish people, not parts of the Bible. For a better understanding of the covenants and what scripture has to say about them refer to the Covenant Seminar. (To find out more go here.) |
